Has it really been nearly three years?

My last post here was July of 2021. Time flies. Anyway, I recently received a grant* to attend a painting workshop in NC. The artist was Patrick Lee, a fantastic painter from Pittsburgh. His focus is on seeing the pattern in an image, then building the painting loosely with a palette knife. Though only a three day workshop, it was extremely enjoyable and opened my eyes to a new way of applying paint.  Here are a few painting samples since finishing the workshop. Safety in Numbers: 16" x 20" oil on linen board Lit Home: 16" x 20" oil on linen board Open Gate Savannah: 20" x 20" oil on canvas *This project is supported with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
